Wednesday, Juan (Sean) and I went to Isla Pilipina Restaurant for lunch. His Diet Coke was served in an aluminum bottle, which was very cool to look at. I opted for Coconut Water which came with little pieces of coconut suspended in it. I loved the visual effect of both.
We ordered two dishes. The first one shown is a Beef Kalderata, which is beef, potatoes, green peppers and tomato, slow cooked and very tender. The second meat dish is Mixed Adobo, which is pork and chicken. With both dishes, the meat was so tender that you did not need a knife.
Since we knew we had two more stops, we decided to split the dessert, and had a Halo Halo. The straw was a cookie with mint in it. It’s worth the trip here just for this!
I liked Isla Pilipina, and no doubt I will venture here again, as there were plenty of food items that looked interesting. I also love flan, which they have on the menu.
