I was pretty excited when I saw the raw foods restaurant, Earth’s Healing Cafe, open in Ravenswood. Pedro and I went there for lunch on Wednesday, and we both really enjoyed our meal.
The first thing you’ll notice when you walk in is that the place just feels so clean. Without any meat splatter, what permeates the air is the smell of vegetables and fruits.
There isn’t a lot of seating space, and the options are 1) high (barstool) or 2) low, at the drum pictured here. We chose the drum, which probably wasn’t too comfortable for Pedro but it was great for me.
Pedro ordered the “Sweet Heart” made from carrot, apple, beet, lemon and ginger.
I ordered the Coconut Berry, which is normally made from a freshly opened Thai Coconut, blueberries, banana and Goji Berry; I ordered mine without the blueberries. It was delish and would have sufficed as a meal in itself, since it also had the coconut meat.
We both ordered the Zucchini Fettuccine, which was incredible! The portion is quite huge, however, and we could have easily split it. The “meat balls” were made from sunflower seeds. I would definitely get this again,
