Okay, so maybe it took me three weeks to realize he’s GOA, but I’ve been a very busy girl. Ironically most of my busy life has been stuck in front of one of several computers, but not online for fun. Computer maintenance, system upgrades, system downgrades, software application changes, upgrades, etc. have been filling my schedule, in between bouts of being sick. Two days ago I received a note from one of my fellow blogging friends asking me if I’ve seen One Time’s blog lately. That would be at http://www.peppersprayme.com/ for anyone who had been one of his readers.
One Time and I would, intermittently, have a flurry of emails going back and forth. OT was interesting, not only because of his blog stories but use of technology. It wasn’t just his use of a custom designed template, his promotion of his blog online and quite frequently via Blog Catalog and Twitter, but his anonymity. Within my own group of online blog buddies, there are several people with whom I correspond fairly regularly, and on occasion I might even know what they look like. I’ve met other bloggers who are local, in person. OT never divulged his name, and refused to tell us where he was located, although some of us had our theories, which could never been derived from analyzing out blog statistics. If OT is reading this, I’m sure he’s smiling since he worked so hard, apparently using an IP spoofer to stay very anonymous.
His Twitter account is gone, his FaceBook account is still intact for now. His website isn’t completely gone, since a GOA page can still just be a new default page with or without the website intact, but the mystery remains…
When you’re back from your adventure, I know I’m not the only person looking forward to your return.
